Frobergs Farm

Angie invited us along to pick strawberries at a farm that's only 15 minutes down the road from our new place. While the strawberries, fresh produce, and homemade pies we got afterward were delicious, the main attraction was being able to spend time with Angie and baby Mark (as you'll see from the focus of most of my pictures). I was so caught up in his cuteness that I didn't even take one picture of the gorgeous red berries!

This is what a strawberry field looks like:

As it turns out, Becky knew two of the ladies from Angie's ward that were also there to pick strawberries. She knew one from a semester abroad in Mexico, and the other from a semester abroad in London, all back in her BYU days.

And these are some of the photos dedicated to one of our favorite nephews:

Hiking in Houston

Taking advantage of the mild winters in Texas (70 degrees in February?!), Becky and I went on our first "hike" in Houston. We choose a nice little two mile loop in a nearby park that was established as a memorial to the crew of the Challenger 7.  It was nice to get out and do some exploring, even if the hike was more of a stroll. We enjoyed the safari-like feel as we headed into the heart of the park.

Also, the nice little boardwalks that gave us good views of the currently foreign vegetation and marsh lands.

There was even a little fishing pond they say is stocked with bass and catfish. Maybe we'll have to try our hand at fishing while we're in Texas.

Since Becky will be 39 weeks pregnant this week, we're hoping that by our next hike we'll have a handsome little guy to push along in a stroller or carry in a backpack!
